Silicone Mold Cleanup, made easy and quick.

Well now that we have made our delicious Apple & Flax seed muffins and everyone has had a chance to gobble up the two dozen delicious pastries.. All that's left is the clean up! (Oh noes!) Clean up of silicone molds up until recently has been pretty much the not so fun part of the whole baking process, but it is something that we ALL have to do if we're going to bake or cook.

Firstly we all know that even with some sort of spray or grease to the sides of the molds (especially if your eco friendly like me and don't buy extra paper cups to put in the molds just to save on clean up) there's going to be food stuck to the crevices here and there. And I can tell you now, using a dish sponge is not time friendly because they do not fit into the folds well.

So this is what I like to do, I like to first turn the mold cup inside out and then take a normal $1.98 baby bottle brush and use it to scrub over the mold under water. You'll be surprised as to how much quicker getting the nooks and crannies of the molds go this way. Just remember after inverting them and your done cleaning them to flip them back to their original state.
